Shin Tai
Shin Tai means ‘Mind Body’. It focuses on the connection between the two and our body’s innate intelligence to heal from within. The immune system is just one of the wonders of that intelligence. Hence, it is possible that the regenerative mechanisms of the body can be activated during treatments.
Shin Tai expands on traditional Shiatsu which is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shiatsu works on all energy channels, whereas Shin Tai focuses on the flow of the primary meridians – governing vessel (GV) along the spine, and conception vessel (CV) along the midline of the body at the front. Together these two meridians can be seen as the core information system. All other acupuncture meridians evolve from GV/CV and serve as specializations of the core information.
Shin Tai further acts on fascia, specific joints, chakras (energy centres), muscle and soft tissue to create a unique system that works with our inner intelligence which wants to feel well, experience creativity and enjoy life.
The goal of a Shin Tai treatment is also to increase available life force, activating the body to align physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Deeply compressed stress patterns are released from the body, allowing greater flow of life force to expand self-healing and self-regenerative capabilities. Then the free flowing information system of the body can function without interference from outdated information. When life force is recovered, the physical body functions better, the emotions respond more appropriately, and the mind is free from past events that hold you back consciously or unconsciously.
